What’s included (Itinerary subject to change depending on final fixture schedules)

  • Arrival in Vienna on 12 February, where your hosts from EuropeAway will be on hand to welcome you and settle you into your accommodation.

  • 13 February: Join your guide for a walking tour of the city’s imperial heritage — think the Ringstraße, majestic palaces, the historic centre. Later that dayem witness the iconic Vienna derby as FK Austria Wien take on SK Rapid Wien — two of Austria’s most storied clubs with a rivalry dating back to 1911. Expect electric atmosphere, passionate fans and true local intensity.

  • 14 February: Day-trip to neighbouring Slovakia for a visit to the capital, Bratislava. Beginning with a relaxing morning departure, you’ll arrive in time for the fierce derby match match between ŠK Slovan Bratislava and AS Trenčín. After the game enjoy free time in Bratislava’s charming old town with its historic streets, cafés and riverside setting.

  • Back in Vienna for 15 February, We then head out to a nearby vineyard region for a visit and tasting — combining culture, history and that unbeatable Austrian tradition of wine and relaxed pace. Later the same day or evening enjoy a live basketball fixture in Vienna — a chance to soak up more action, this time on the hardwood in the vibrant setting of the Adriatic Basketball Association league, with VIP seats included.

  • On your final day, 16 February, there’s free time to explore Vienna at your own pace before departure. Perhaps a lingering café-stop, a stroll along the Danube or a last-minute souvenir hunt.
